Iso-Polifonia

Kënga polifonike e Epirit është një formë e polifonisë tradicionale popullore e praktikuar midis shqiptarëve, arumunëve, grekëve dhe më parë midis maqedonasve etnikë në Shqipërinë e Jugut dhe Greqinë veriperëndimore.[1][2] Kënga polifonike e Epirit nuk duhet ngatërruar me varietete të tjera të këndimit polifonik, siç janë këngët jodeling të rajonit të Muotatalit, ose Cantu a tenore e Sardenjës.[3] Studiuesit e konsiderojnë një traditë të vjetër, e cila ose e ka origjinën nga epoka e lashtë greke[4] dhe trako-ilire,[5] ose epoka bizantine, me ndikime nga muzika bizantine.[6]
